Animal rescuers are all brave, strong humans with a heart of gold. They face plenty of risks during their work daily, but they never give up no matter how tough their mission is. Thanks to their persistent efforts to help the poor souls in need, this world is a much better world for every being to live in.
Hope For Paw’s Loreta Frankonyte is one of those angels. The young woman suffers many unwanted experiences during her rescues including frequently getting bitten and dragged, but she always handles her task beautifully somehow.
Gershwin is one of the lucky dogs that are saved by this incredible girl. After being abandoned in the middle of nowhere, he spent 2 months wandering around a truck stop in the unbearable heat without any access to food or water, and it’s hard to even imagine how that poor boy could just survive.

Hope For Paw’s founder Eldad Hagar was the first one to try to approach the big dog, but it turned out that doubtful guy was really afraid of men despite his enormous size. So, they had no choice but to let Loreta come to Gershwin herself, trying to gain his trust.

Loreta stayed with the big boy for quite a long time and then finally managed to put her leash around his neck. However, as soon as Gershwin realized that he was captured, the terrified boy started to run around like crazy and drag Loreta behind him like a ragdoll.

Seeing the awful scene, Eldad immediately rushed toward them to help and thankfully Loreta did not let go. She used all of her strength to hold the leash, and it wasn’t until Eldad successfully got him that the pressure in her hands was partly reduced. Such a strong-willed girl!

In spite of the pain, the wonderful rescuer still remained calm by some means. She even stayed with her teammate to soothe Gershwin’s nerves and coax him into going home with them voluntarily. And guess what? Their kindness worked like a miracle!
