How long does it take to heal a broken heart? For humans, it’s hard to tell. But for a dog, if you care about them enough, they will recover real quick. All they need is your love, and your love only.
Dora used to be a sad girl who looked so melancholy when the Howl Of A Dog rescued her from a dog pound in Romania. They didn’t know much about her past but they still tried their best to cheer her up. However, despite their efforts, she still seemed to be very upset all the time without any specific reason. It took them a whole week to got Dora to wag her tail shyly for the very first time.

“She is underweight and has some skin issues that need medical attention,” the organization said. “For the first week, her tail was tucked between her legs almost all the time and she walked with her head lowered. Starting with the second week, she has begun to feel more comfortable and even wagged her tail, timidly, for the first time. There’s still a long road ahead of her, but she’s taking small steps forward.”
Dora was safe, but there was still something missing – a home. What she needed was a real home where she belonged, where she could have all the love and care that she totally deserved. And thanks to the Howl Of A Dog, she managed to find herself a fantabulous mom in England.
It was such a pity that Dora couldn’t move to her new home right away, but before her journey officially started, her new mom already came up with an incredibly amazing idea to make sure she could feel loved and cherished: she sent Dora a few presents, and the gentle dog loved them all.

“She was so happy when we unwrapped the parcel, as if she knew the gifts are from a very special person,” the Howl Of A Dog shared.

She even wrote Dora a letter with plenty of love and hugs.

Dora finally got to meet this fantastic woman and her canine brother Cole not long afterward. She’s living her life to the fullest in her own family now.

“It’s genuinely heartwarming to see her so happy and wagging her tail so much all the time,” said her new mom Louise. “She is already part of our family and she knows it.”

Thank you, the Howl Of A Dog and Louise, for doing such wonderful things to this little girl. You guys are the best.
